I truly enjoyed the lovely old building vibe and the hearty atmosphere of the pub. Spotting nearby gems like Five Guys and Thai Gallery was the icing on the cake! The staff were a friendly bunch too, making everything feel cozy.
It was a bit no-no when I discovered they only served lunch, leaving my dinner plans in the lurch. the noise from the street late at night really pulled the rug out from under my good night's sleep.

Checking in over the bar is a hassle!!! The bathroom needs updating, especially the shower area, which could confuse some guests.

the location is super central, just off high street which is great for exploring. the staff were sooo friendly and really helpful. our room had this cool old-fashioned vibe with comfy beds. even tho its an old inn, everything was clean. Pub downstairs has a lively atmosphere but we couldnt hear any noise from our room. it was quiet!
we did have a small power cut while we were there which was a bit annoying. also, the kettle coulda used some descaling.

Great Stay with Room for Improvement
The standard twin room was comfortable, but the heavy cigarette smoke from the back car park was quite off-putting. Still, the friendly staff made our stay enjoyable. If you're sensitive to smoke, consider asking for a room further from the parking area.

Loved the location! Just a stone's throw from the cathedral and bustling streets. 😊 The room had a charming old-fashioned feel, but climbing all those stairs was a bit tiring.
